According to experts, that is the minimum dose of exercise to be in shape.

The sedentary lifestyle leads to the appearance of numerous health problems: cardiovascular affections, joint ailments, osteoporosis, obesity, diabetes, lack of muscle mass, physical and mental weakness, stress, insomnia, etc.

Walking, running, sports, swimming, cycling, etc., together with adequate food and the avoidance of toxic substances (tobacco, alcohol, drugs, contaminated environments, etc.) means preventing 70% of the aforementioned diseases and other many.

To be in form we should cover, as minimum, approximately 4-5 daily km, that is to say, during 45-60 minutes or the equivalent time in mounting in bicycle, running, swimming or realizing any other sport.

The physical strengthening that exercise produces (muscles, ligaments, resistance to fatigue, increased defenses, etc.) compensate the initial effort and stimulate the subject to greater activity.

One of the most advisable sports and healthy practices is the mountaineering: the raises for the mount slowly and shortly (to the measure of the physical possibilities of the wayfarer) they exercise and activate the functioning of the heart and of the pulmonary capacity, increasing the power and frequency of the respiratory pace and of the cardiac beatings that stimulate a greater quantity of blood become oxygenated to the whole body and especially to the brain, producing this agreeable own sensation of euphoria and well-being of the aerobics sports.

With the advantage of enjoying, in addition, the clean air and the beauty of the landscapes and the surrounding forests.

In case that for reasons of work, health, age, etc., it is not possible to perform these sports activities, you can leave the car or transport and go on foot, do not use the elevator and walk around the house, do gymnastics or use a stationary bicycle.

In any case it is advisable to WALK FIVE THOUSAND DAY STEPS, at least, although ideally, in a more active sporting life, it is WALKING from SEVEN TO TEN THOUSAND STEPS EVERY DAY and, moreover, at a rapid pace.

The advisable pace should be the one that approaches - or better, equals or exceeds - the 100 steps per minute (6,000 steps / hour)

This practice should be maintained throughout life from childhood to old age.

At first, if you are not used to walking, you can start with 2,000 to 3,000 steps (15-20 minutes) and increase your time and speed a little more each day.

But it is the overweight people who are more difficult to exercise, and the less they do, the more fat and weight they accumulate, thus closing a vicious circle towards obesity and illness.

The only way out is to decide to walk, first with sessions of 500 to 1,000 steps a day, even distributed throughout the day at home (100, 200, 300 steps every hour ...) and thus gradually increase.

You can also perform progressive swimming exercises, climbing stairs, exercise bike, etc.

It is also advisable to consult a specialist doctor to indicate how to control weight variations, diet, number of calories, body mass index, more suitable gymnastic exercises, etc.

It is also very convenient to mentalize and accustom children to an active sporting life and a balanced diet, to avoid the growing plague of childhood overweight and obesity

One third of Spanish children between 7 and 10 years of age are overweight or obese.

According to WHO, in developed countries, there are about 1 billion overweight people, 300 million are obese and 500,000 die every year because of obesity.

In Spain, the percentage of people with obesity reaches 14% of the population. And one in three Spaniards is overweight.

In cases of illness, physical impossibility, obesity, injuries, ect, before practicing exercise, you should consult the doctor to recommend what is most convenient.

And finally, A CALL TO THE POLITICIANS (Mayors, Councilmen, etc) of the cities and towns, so that they PLAN NETWORKS interconnected of PEDESTRIAN STREETS and BIKE LANES, EXCLUDING from these routes the MOTOR VEHICLES that today circulate everywhere (parks and rides included) contaminating with toxic and malodorous noises and gases, making it dangerous and insane to walk or bike on any street in the city.

OUR VOTE IN CHANGE OF MORE CLEAN AND SILENT PEDESTRIAN STREETS TO BE ABLE TO WALK without the aggressions of TRAFFIC shot and thus IMPROVE CITIZENS 'HEALTH!

Nous devrions MARCHER, au moins, 5.000 PAS par jour / Deberíamos CAMINAR, por lo menos, 5.000 PASOS CADA DÍA / We must walk 5.000 steps every day
